“The Way of the Child”
Spiritual Formation Centers for Grades 1-5

The Way of the Child: Helping Children Experience God focuses on the spiritual formation of children. This series is designed to help children, ages 6-11, learn and use spiritual practices that will lead them into a deeper awareness of God’s presence in their lives.

Christians through the ages have found that several fundamental qualities nurture openness to God.
Quiet, silence and solitude
Imagination
Peace, reverence and respect

The Way of the Child offers children a time to utilize practices that will nurture their innate spirituality, help develop a deeper relationship with God, and form a vital community with others. This is something children will be able to use the rest of their lives as they continue their faith journeys.

The Way of the Child will take place during the 11:00 a.m. service. The children will be dismissed from worship following the “Light” to the Chapel.
