“Springs of Living Water”
A Workshop Rotation Model for Grades 1-5

“Springs of Living Water” is an exciting Rotation Workshop Model. Learners will start their hour of study in the “H20” worship service with songs and a children’s message around the month’s theme. They will be dismissed from worship to experience the same Bible story for 4 weeks in various workshops. Teachers do not rotate, but stay in one place, preparing one lesson (with some age appropriate modifications) for the four week rotation. Consistency and relationship-building are provided by a team of Shepherds who remain with one class for the entire school year.

Rotation Workshops:

T.E.N.T Journeys (Telling Eternal News Today) Room S-206
Leaders: Steve Schultz, Janet Ummer, Jill Rowland, Alice Lloyd
In the storytelling tent, the children will explore the Bible story. Children will not only learn to use their Bibles in this workshop, but also experience the geography, customs, dress and culture of Bible times. Drama will further help children experience the story and role play will help them relate the story to their lives today.

Artisan’s Market Room A-223
Leaders: Amy Teele, Autumn Katarincic
This workshop promises an exciting session of art interpretation as children relate to the story in mediums and projects that will stimulate their creativity and relate the month’s theme to their lives.

HolyWord Theatre Room S-208
Leader: Karla Rhoades
In the HolyWord Theatre, our video workshop, children experience the Bible lesson in a new and deeper way by watching quality presentations on our big screen TV. Lively discussion and/or interactive games follow as they are challenged to relate the biblical story to their everyday lives.

Cup of Water Room S-204
Leaders: Jane Charlton, Debbie Burke, Suzannah Cannon
Mission is the focus of this workshop where children will learn to share the “Good News” of the Gospel ( a cup of cold water) through three centers focusing on (1) congregational care (2) local, national and world agencies who received “Love Gifts” through our weekly offering and (3) our “World Vision” adopted children.
